Custom Website Design
Your website is where most customers form their first opinion of your business. They arrive with a question: are you open, do you offer what they need, how do they book or buy. A site that answers quickly wins the customer. A site that makes them hunt loses them.
Fairfield Web designs each site around those questions. We learn how your business works, plan the pages, design them for phones first, and build on WordPress so your team can keep the content current without calling a developer.
Every project begins the same way, with a conversation:
Free Consultation
Tell us what you sell, who buys it and what the site should do for you. We review your current site if you have one, look at how customers find you today, and come back with a written proposal: pages, features, price and timeline. You decide with the full picture in front of you.
Signs You Need a New Site
Most redesigns start with one of a handful of problems. If any of these sound familiar, the site is probably costing you customers, and the fix is usually simpler than owners expect.
Website Cost and Timeline
What a website costs depends on a few things you control. Here is how we scope a project so the price is clear before work begins:
The number of pages, the features you need, such as booking, payments or memberships, and how much content we write for you. A five page site and an online store are different projects.
You receive an itemized scope with the price and the timeline. Nothing is added later without your approval.
We structure the site so that new pages, a store or a booking system can be added later without starting over.
At launch we show your team how to edit pages, add photos and publish updates. You are never locked out of your own site.
Not Sure What You Need?
Call us and describe your business. We will tell you plainly whether you need a new site, a redesign, or a few repairs to the one you have.
Web Design Questions We Hear Most
Will my site work on phones?
Yes. Every page is designed for a phone screen first and then adapted for tablets and desktops. Hours, directions and the main action, such as booking or calling, stay at the top where a thumb can reach them. We test on real devices before launch.
Can you use my existing content?
Yes. We can move your current text and photos across, and we will tell you which parts need updating before they go on the new site.
Do you build on WordPress?
In most cases, yes. WordPress lets you edit your own content, and it has the widest choice of tools for booking, payments and forms. For projects that need something custom, such as a client portal or a dashboard, we build with modern web frameworks. We recommend the right fit during the proposal stage.
How do I keep the site up to date?
You can edit pages, photos and posts yourself after the training session. For the technical side, a care plan covers software updates, backups and security checks, so the site stays fast and safe without taking your time.
